Happy Sunday! I hope this is a day of true rest and leisure for each of you.
I’d like to express my gratitude to the parishioners in Sun City Carolina Lakes for the very kind reception last Sunday at their community lake house. It was a fun and enjoyable time! Please note that I’m open and will accept any such invitations from any group or neighborhood.
I also enjoyed spending time with our local Knights of Columbus this past Tuesday evening and our parish Women’s Group on Wednesday morning. Both of these groups do great work for our community! I encourage all men and women of the parish to consider these respective groups.
Some quick updates:
* Parish Confessions have been moved to Saturday, 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM.
* This week, we’ll be offering daily Mass at different times. This is not to confuse anyone or their schedules, but to allow interested parishioners to experience Mass at various times in preparation for our Town Hall Meeting and our eventual decision on what time we will have our permanent daily Mass at Our Lady of Grace. So this week, Mass will be Monday at 12:00 PM; Tuesday at 5:30 PM; Wednesday at 9:00 AM; Thursday at 7:30 AM; and Friday at 9:00 AM.
* I’ve brought Dr. Angie Letourneau on as our parish Business Manager. Angie will be assisting me in establishing our financial infrastructure. More details will follow. In order to avoid any conflict of interest in taking on this position, Angie has resigned as the Chairperson of the Finance Council. She will continue to be on the council, but as an ex officio member.
* With Angie’s resignation, I’ve asked Jack Kelly to serve as the new Chair of the Finance Council. Jack has been serving on the council and brings great insight and many organizational abilities with him to this new position.
There are more updates, but that’s enough for now! Please remember our parish Town Hall Meetings on September 22 at 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM. I hope everyone can attend one of these sessions.
