Happy Sunday to you and your loved ones! I hope you’re able to enjoy this day of rest!
This past week has been a busy one at Our Lady of Grace! We’ve had several meetings with the various liturgical ministries in order to review adjustments to the Mass and the addition of our new morning Mass. Thank you to everyone involved. Your patience and flexibility is helping our parish grow!
In speaking about the growth of our parish, it’s very important that we spend time together! With that in mind, I want to invite and strongly encourage all parishioners and families to attend our Parish Pot Luck Dinner on Saturday evening, October 15. Please make every effort to attend. This will be our first full parish-wide social event since the Church Dedication! I really hope to see everyone there!
Also related to our community life, the rectory is still being renovated. It’s my hope to move into the new residence by mid-October. I’ve been staying at the Oratory in Rock Hill and am very grateful to the Oratorian Fathers for their kindness to me. Starting this weekend, I’ll be staying much closer to the parish at a local “extended stay” hotel. Again, I look forward to moving into the rectory as soon as possible.
Some other quick items:
* Please continue to welcome our Pastoral Intern, John Schmugge. He’s giving us this “gap year” and were grateful for his service. If any group or organization needs extra hands or help, please reach out to John. He’s living in Fort Mill, but is in the Parish Office almost every day.
* The Holy Water Fonts have been ordered and should be here soon. Once they arrive, they’ll be hung near every entrance to the church.
* Please note the beautiful image of the Divine Mercy placed over the main entrance of the church. This is a small reminder to us of the Lord’s Mercy and of the current Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy.
That’s a quick summary. More to come soon. Thank you for all the work that everyone is doing. Great things are happening at Our Lady of Grace!
